No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

Hi, Can I just check the size of these cartridges please? I ordered some from elsewhere, which were smaller than the ones that I was using. I think these were from an older model and required a small ball in the device.

The shower head will actually increase the TDS (about 5ppm), which is why you need to look at how it works and what TDS shows you. Ascorbic acid will restructure everything in water so its not there to reduce TDS. To do this you need a reverse osmosis system with DI resin.
