No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

I'm just curious about the 3-4 month change of filter on the Vitafresh handheld shower vitamin C.
How can you tell if it needs changing?
Is there also a visual color to remind a customer of this product or do you need to keep track of the usage start date?

You can unscrew the shower head to access the fabric filter and you will be able to visually check the condition of it once you have accessed it. The fabric does start to deteriorate over time which is why it is recommended to change the fabric filter every 3 - 4 months. You will know when the vitamin C cartridge on the system needs to be changed as the level of vitamin c powder in the orange cartridge is visible and you will see if go down over time.
