No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

The filter lifetimes will depend on your mains water quality, hardness and water usage.

Chlorine and Limescale filter capacity; 1080 Litres @ 150ppm Total Hardness, 500 Litres @ 300ppm Total Hardness. Replace after 6 months of installation date or sooner based on water quality/hardness
