No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

It will reduce lead, but it is not what we would suggest for lead reduction if there was a lead issue i.e. over 10 micrograms per litre.

I recently had a shower cartridge problem, the hot water would go cold intermittently. When the cartridge was removed and examined, it was noticed that several very small pieces of something were blocking the tiny inlet hole for the hot water.
Can you recommend a filter which could be fitted to the hot water pipe (15 mm diameter) between the isolating valve and the shower valve, there is about a meter of vertical pipe in the area to which the filter could be fitted.

The Eco maxi 10 filter does not filter Flouride. For reduction of Fluoride, we recommend either an Osmio Clarity with Coldstream gravity or an Osmio Reverse Osmosis System.

If you are aiming for streak free car wash - this will not be the right product, as the filter inhibits the limescale properties, but does not completely remove it from the water. Mixed Bed Resin filters are commonly used in window cleaning and car wash.

The Eco Maxi 10" filter contains active ceramics and GAC (granular activated carbon).

We installed this on 14th April but recently have noticed it leaking. Do we need to assume this is a sign that it needs changing? We live in London so heavy limescale.
