No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

Hi, I'm looking at your 4.5" x 20" Calcite PH correction cartridges and see you've added a note saying the calcite can solidify if left standing. I wonder if you could give a bit more explanation please? We probably wouldn't normally be away from home for more than 7 to 10 days at a time, otherwise water will be used throughour the day every day. Is leaving the calcite cartridge for 7-10 days likely to cause a problem? Thanks,

it can solidify after 48 hrs, we recommend a PH correction unit sized up to the required flow rate. It has an automatic backwash function which keeps the media loose.
