No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

Ideally, we recommend that you should sanitise the tank annually. If the tank has not been regularly sanitised then it may become difficult to achieve and the tank may then need to be replaced. We have a sanitisation device available here: https://www.osmiowater.co.uk/sanitisation-kit-for-reverse-osmosis-systems.html there are instructions on its use on the product page. To sanitise the whole system you can sacrifice the old pre & post filters (removing the RO membrane) and place the sanitisation device in the feed-in water tubing (as per the video on the sanitisation kit product page) and then replace all the filters after sanitisation.
