No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

These filters should be changed every 6 month or as per usage below, whichever comes first.

KWIK Sediment – 686 gallons (2,600L)
KWIK Carbon Block - 686 gallons (2,600L)
KWIK Post Carbon GAC – 1,505 gallons (5,700L)

It is recommended that you would allow water to fully fill the tank of the system after the filter change and sanitisation, then from the tap discard the water from the tank (until tank is empty). After this you can use the water once the tank is refilled.
