No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

I have had my hydroxy machine for a couple of years now but haven’t used it for the last six months as I moved house. It has been left empty. When do I need to get it serviced to check the plates etc?

Hi,

If it is was empty - you need to give it a hot water flush (see 100 hrs flush in your manual) and carry on using it as normal.
It needs to be returned for service every 500 hrs. You can check out with the service - and we will be in touch to arrange the rest.
