Osmio Duo Hydrogen Water Bottle 400ml - All Questions
Hi, I have two questions -
Does the nasal cannula come with this water bottle or do you buy it separately?
And do you ship to Australia?

No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Osmio 4.5 x 10 Inch Carbon Block 5 Micron
Question by: Robert Chittock on 26 Apr 2020, 14:06
Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

Hi, if distilled water is used will ph increase to neutral range? Thank you
Question by: Sergey on 18 Mar 2021, 12:16
Osmio Duo will not have an effect on PH. Pure distilled water at the moment of distillation has pH of 7, but because it absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, a small amount of water will bond with carbon dioxide and will create carbonic acid, this is what causing distilled water to drop PH to around 5.8. To increase PH you can add minerals to the water.
When producing hydrogen-enriched water - ORP reading is more important rather than PH. ORP is short for oxidation-reduction potential, also known as REDOX, which means the degree to which a substance is capable of oxidizing or reducing another substance. A substance is a reducing agent, or an anti-oxidizing agent when the ORP reading is negative. The substance is more anti-oxidizing as the reading becomes lower. Reducers give the excess of electrons - this what gives hydrogen-enriched water antioxidising properties.
Depending on the water used in Osmio Duo - it can reach ORP of up to -750mV.

Hi, watched interview on your home page. Is it safe to use nasal cannula then if hydrogen replaces oxygen in breathing air? Or does bottle produce hydroxy gas?
Question by: Arek on 26 Mar 2021, 10:43
Hi, the bottle produces only hydrogen gas, but the flow is very slow to affect the balance of oxygen in the air.
when it comes to high-flow breathing gas machines, like Osmio Infinity, we totally agree that the browns gas is the better option, as it produces hydrogen/oxygen mixture and doesn't create an oxygen-deficient environment.

I own one of these. Happy with it so far but recently I found myself wondering does it generate Protium or Deuterium H2... or is it a mix as a function of the Deuterium ppm of the water you use in the machine ?
Also does the process result in deuterium depleted water or will it have no effect on the PPM of deuterium after the electrolysis ?
Google tells me : Electrolysis of water produces hydrogen gas at the cathode, which contains a lower proportion of deuterium than the original water. This makes me think I'vemade the water more heavy... and thus bad for me ?
Source below.
Very curious to get the Osmio take on this
Nuclei, Isotopes and Isotope Separation
GREGORY R. CHOPPIN, ... JAN RYDBERG, in Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry (Third Edition), 2002
2.8.3 Electrolysis
Electrolysis of water produces hydrogen gas at the cathode, which contains a lower proportion of deuterium than the original water. The isotope effect stems from the differences in the rates of dissociation of a proton (H+) and a deuteron (D+) from water, and the rates of neutralization of these hydrated ions, and thus has a kinetic basis. Depending on the physical conditions α-values between 3 and 10 are obtained. For α = 6 it is necessary to electrolyze 2700 1 natural water (deuterium content 0.014%) to produce 11 water containing 10% deuterium, mainly as HDO. In a multistage process the hydrogen gas is either burnt to recover energy, or used in a chemical process, e.g. in ammonia synthesis by the Haber-Bosch process. Although this technique was used industrially in Norway to produce ton amounts of pure D2O, it is no longer considered economic except for final purification of D2O.

Repeated electrolysis makes water heavier in the electrolysis chamber but by a very small proportion. 5-7 electrolysis cycles might increase deuterium content by around 1ppm, so the increase doesn't have to be taken into account when you running the cycle once or twice.
You can still Deuterium depleted water with Osmio duo to achieve low Deuterium concentration water enriched with hydrogen.

How often can I drink this water? Is it safe to use it for all of my drinking water? I drink approx 2.5 litres of water per day. I recently bought this product and use it with my Osmio Zero RO machine. I have to say that it tastes lovely.

You can replace all water with hydrogen water. It is safe.
Thank you for great feedback:)

Answer by: Irina Orlenko on 21 May 2021, 18:16
we need to give the water to a person who strongly prefers to drink hot water, rather then room temperature.
Would it be possible to mix the HW with hot water boiled in a kettle to increase the temperature? Obviously hydrogen levels would be cut in half when mixed 50/50.
Thanks
Sebastian

Question by: Sebastian on 7 May 2021, 16:52
Hi Sebastian,
you can do that, but as you correctly said the concentration of hydrogen will be reduced. During the mixing process avoid disturbance to hydrogen water as much as possible, as hydrogen will escape quickly if water stirred.

If I run 2 cycles with the same water, will I achieve a stronger concentration, or is there a saturation point it reaches at the end of the first cycle?
Question by: Daniel Vogt on 10 Jun 2021, 08:34
you will achieve a higher concentration after two cycles, we wouldn't recommend running more than two 7 min cycles - as concentration increase will be insignificant thereafter. One thing to bear in mind - open and close the lid between cycles - to ensure that there is no build-up of excessive pressure.

Can we drink the hydrogen water after using the cannula to breath the gas?
Question by: Sonny on 22 Jul 2021, 19:11
yes, you can, however, water will not reach maximum saturation. For maximum saturation run the 7 min cycle with a full bottle, completely closed.
