No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

yes, if you buy kit and tap together - we would normally include fittings you need to connect the two.

I already have a Paragon filter P5250UC installed, but need to replace it,
Can the Osmio Long Life filter kit be used with the fittings already installed?

Or do I need to buy the full kit?

If you already have tubing installed for your paragon filter then you will just need to buy a housing, the filter and connectors that will allow you to push fit your tubing into inlet/outlet of the filter housing.

Looking at installing this into a widebeam boat build. Thinking about having it in the hull of the boat. Space is tight, can this be installed laying horizontally?

No this product cannot be laid horizontally it has to be installed vertically as shown in the product images/manual.
