No the bottles uses a spe pem membrane method so it will not allow the pH influencing gases through it, just h2

Good question! The carbon can be crushed and disposed with your garden waste or can be added to flower beds (it will improve soil drainage and will slowly biodegrade); the plastic cups can be disposed in the recycling bin.

Hi, I have checked the system you have, and yes, you can replace the filter with CTO 4510-05.
Melt blown filter is only reducing sediment, Carbon - does sediment, chlorine, other gasses and VOC.
